After years of planning…The “Godskitchen Boombox” concept is now revealed as a unique architectural, multimedia, visual and music event concept.

Following on from its hugely successful debut in the Ukraine, which saw the attendance of 15,000 fans, the “Godskitchen Boombox” will be making its way to Sydney and Melbourne where Australian fans will be able to experience this unique structure. This extraordinary production is a must-see and will be landing in Melbourne with trance music’s elite DJ’s Cosmic Gate, Blank & Jones, John 00 Fleming and JES.

This colossal rectangular structure will house the state-of-the-art DJ equipment. It will also act as a giant screen from which an astounding combination of lighting and visuals can be projected in perfect synchronization with the music.

The Godskitchen Boombox is the brainchild of ‘1024’ the people behind Exyzt, the Parisian based design collective who are pioneers of structural projection and responsible for numerous art and cultural design installations across Europe. At over 16 meters wide, 8 meters high and 6 meters deep the structure combines next generation technology whilst marrying architecture with art.

Tiesto dons his Allure hat once again teaming up with Julie Thompson for the superb new single “Somewhere Inside”. A standout live track from the Elements Of Life world tour, Julie has performed “Somewhere Inside” with Tiesto to over 500,000 people globally over the last 12 months so is established as a fan favourite.

Original Mix
First things first: I don’t like Tiesto. Those of you who have read my reviews in the past will know that I am always more than glad to admit to this. Luckily for him this isn’t Tiesto, this is “Allure”. Like many of you, I first heard this tune on the “In Search Of Sunrise 6″ compilation mixed by the man himself. I may not like his productions in general, but I can honestly say I love this song. Initially it seems like a rather boring and calm melodic affair, but it’s so beautiful you can’t help falling in love with it. Just the right level of synth is applied to maximise the emotion produced by Julie Thompson’s fantastic vocal. To top it all off, a guitar-like element is added which only enhances the mood. This is one of those songs that would make me close my eyes on the dancefloor and drift off into a world of my own.

Andy Duguid Remix
Andy’s got a tough job here. How do you follow up such a beautiful original mix? Add a slightly dirty electro bassline of course! The most effective elements of the original mix are combined with the new bassline to great effect, with a few piano keys added to the breakdown just to give this remix a distinctive edge. Not a bad effort, but this is one of those songs that cannot be made better.

Rating:
A return to form from Tiesto, in the most fantastic way possible.

Satoshi Tomiie is one the most successful Japanese electronic music producers and DJs. He has written music for soundtracks, including well known Animatrix. Satoshi Tomiie was lucky to have a classical music education and later became involved with various bands throughout high school. An interest in hip hop music and DJ’ing came later and after some appearances was eventually asked by a Japanese cosmetics company to collaborate by creating a track for a Frankie Knuckles show. The veteran recognized Tomiie’s potential, and the collaboration result was “Tears” that became a techno classic.

Given the opportunity, the rising star DJ moved to New York. He joined the Def Mix crew and became recognized as one of the world’s top DJs. Satoshi Tomiie often tours the biggest dance music festivals and established international clubs. In 2000 he created his first CD titled “Full Lick”. It was a great success worldwide and especially in England. Tomiie has a series of remixes and music productions, and has released several DJ mix compilation albums. Satoshi Tomiie is the owner of house music record label SAW.
