Trance Energy adds more stages to Melbourne

Posted by iloveprogressive On April - 3 - 2009

Melbourne’s Calder Park is about to get a massive transformation when the inaugural Trance Energy Australian tour hits town on Friday, April 10.

Australia’s electronic music aficionados have been abuzz since the festival’s Easter weekend tour dates were announced at the beginning of this year, with a line-up that reads like a veritable who’s who of the global progressive and trance scenes.

And now, Melburnians can boast of a unique Trance Energy experience, with the announcement of additional arenas at the event.

Alongside a very special gathering on the Trance Energy main stage, ID&T are rolling out the big guns for the Melbourne debut of Trance Energy. Direct from Ibiza comes the world famous clubbing institution, JUDGEMENT hosted by none other than Judge Jules and friends. Judgement Sundays is one of San Antonio’s most popular nights, run by Jules himself and held at the club Eden, running for the entire season.

JUDGEMENT at Trance Energy will give us a taste of what it’s all about.

And representing the Australian trance contingent are local stalwarts MAJIK along with some of Melbourne’s finest house and progressive crews, who are teaming up with the internationals to present the MAJIK and PROGRESSION areas, plus of course, for Platinum ticket holders, there is the Room680 Premium bar.

PREPARE TO DANCE!

Having amassed an enormous following through his ‘Magic Island Music for Balaeric People’ radio show, Roger has touched the hearts of all trance lovers around the world. Debuting in the DJ Mag top 100 at number #58, Roger had 3 hot album releases on trance giant Armada and took the number 1 spot for trance hit on Beatport.

Big players Tiesto, Ferry Corsten and Above and Beyond are already on the Shah bandwagon, playing his uniquely produced material and throwing support behind today’s trance superstar. Armin Van Buuren loved Roger’s sound so much, he had 3 of his songs on ‘A State Of Trance Top 100′, one being the huge hit ‘Lost’ released under his alias ‘Sunlounger’.

Playing to packed out clubs and dance parties around the world, it’s a fitting time that Roger makes his Australian debut in Melbourne’s home of trance, Room 680!

Loaded with his keyboard and laptop, get ready for a 3 hour journey Shah style! This is going to go off!

Trance fans of Australia, get ready! Globally renowned uber-event Trance Energy is making its debut down under in 2009!

If you’re a fan of trance then you’ve no doubt heard about Trance Energy. It debuted in 1999, and now attracts over 30,000 people from across Europe. In 2009 it will venture outside of Holland for the first time to tour Australia. At this early stage, full event details are still a little way off being revealed, however inthemix can exclusively confirm that the event will debut in Australia over the Easter break in 2009, traveling to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

In 2008 Trance Energy featured headline performances from Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Marco V, Marcel Woods, Sander Van Doorn and many more across four arenas.

True to form with ID&T events, the musical talent formed only one part of the overall package, with their production also a major drawcard. “Trance Energy sets itself apart not only through its line-up, which features the biggest names in trance, but also through its production, in which the very latest light and laser techniques and special effects are used.”
